Lemon Tree Catering was founded in 2003 by chef/proprietor Joan Power. The Cafe was added in July 2008 and since its opening has proved to be a popular destination for good food.

Joan has over 22 years experience in the catering trade having grown up in the Candlelight Inn, a small hotel run by her parents Charlie and Antoinette Boland. Joan qualified from the Ballymaloe cookery course and she went on to head the kitchens of the Candlelight.

Joan has catered for many business functions, weddings and other events large and small. Joan of course has fielded many questions in her time, the most popular being “how much food should I have?”. She looks forward to helping you make your event or party special and will ensure that you have as little stress in organising it as possible.

Our Producers & Suppliers

WBS (Woodstown Bay Shellfish) supplies our Oysters. Their processing plant is located in Dunmore East Harbour where they process and package their fresh oysters that are hand harvested in Woodstown Bay. The waters here give the succulent Oysters a sweet and salty flavour

Aeron James, a Welsh man who came to Dunmore East and married a local girl rears his Lamb overlooking Portally Cove. The close proximity to the sea gives his Lamb a distinctive flavour
