Lemon Tree Catering was founded in 2003 by chef/proprietor Joan Power. The Cafe was added in July 2008 and since its opening has proved to be a popular destination for good food.
Joan has over 22 years experience in the catering trade having grown up in the Candlelight Inn, a small hotel run by her parents Charlie and Antoinette Boland.
Joan qualified from the Ballymaloe cookery course and she went on to head the kitchens of the Candlelight.
In 2003 she founded her own outside catering company "The Lemon Tree". This proved so successful that she was granted the prestigious 'Bridgestone Guide' award for her excellent cuisine.
Joan has catered for many business functions, weddings and other events large and small. Regular clients include Dunmore East Golf Club, Waterford harbour Sailing Club IBEC, High Court Waterford and various restaurants and cafes throughout Waterford City
